General Sessions Questions

The conference will be held Tuesday, May 1 & Wednesday, May 2, 2018

The conference will take place at the Omni Dallas Hotel - 555 S. Lamar St., Dallas, TX 75202

The suggested dress code for the conference is business casual. We do recommend a light sweater or jacket as meeting rooms can be cold.

Hotel/Travel Logistics

The nearest airport is Dallas Love Field, which is approximately 8 miles from the Omni Dallas Hotel. The second closest airport is Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) which is approximately 20 miles from the hotel.

The airport is approximately 20 miles from the Omni Dallas Hotel. If taking a cab, and depending on traffic, this trip can take between 30-50 minutes. Please account for extra time if taking a shuttle or renting a car.

The ISN room block at the Omni Dallas Hotel is currently sold out and ISN has discounted hotel room rates at a variety of hotels close to the Omni. Please find the full list on the ISN CONNECT website under the Location Tab. Make sure to ask for “ISN” or “ISNetworld” to ensure you receive the discount.

Shuttle services differ for each hotel. To view shuttle information, including scheduling and times of operation, click on the Location Tab. Shuttle details are provided under each hotel.

The Omni offers self-parking for $15 overnight or valet parking for $28 overnight. Additional details are available on the Omni website. We anticipate the Omni parking lot will reach capacity. Please consider parking in one of the public parking lots near the Omni. A parking map is located here and rates will vary based on the lot and number of hours parked.

We encourage you check the weather. Typically, it is between 60F (15C) to 85F (29C) during the month of May.

Attendance/Registration

There is no fee to attend the conference for ISNetworld subscribers, as it is included with your ISNetworld subscription. Attendees are responsible for their own travel, accommodations and meals while attending the conference.

You can locate your email titled “2018 ISN CONNECT Registration Confirmation” from ISN Notifications and click the ‘modify/cancel’ link. You are also able to cancel by contacting the ISN Customer Service Team or your Account Representative prior to the conference if you are unable to attend.

Check-in for the conference will be located outside of the Dallas Ballroom in the foyer on the third floor. After taking the stairs/escalators up to the Dallas Ballroom area, check-in will be directly to your left.

Check-in will be available at the following times:

  • Monday, April 30th from 2:00pm–8:00pm
  • Tuesday, May 1st from 7:00am–5:00pm
  • Wednesday, May 2nd from 7:00am–9:00am

Walk-in registration is available for any ISNetworld subscribers, but it is recommended to register by April 23, 2018. To register for the conference, visit the conference registration page.

Please bring a government-issued ID with you to registration.

You will only need to check-in on day one, but please wear your lanyard and name tag on both days of the conference.

Education and Training

OSHA Trainings will be held the afternoon of Monday, April 30th. There is no additional fee to participate, but registration is required. The topics of the courses are OSHA Recordkeeping Rule Seminar and OSHA Psychological Aspects of Accident Prevention. Visit the ISNetworld Events page to register and view course details.

Attendees are eligible to receive 0.7 Continuing Education Units by attending both days of the conference. Attendees are also able to receive Certification Maintenance Points (CMP) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Visit the Education page to view more details regarding the process.

Yes, there will be functionality labs and kiosks, as well as one-on-one help desks, providing hands-on training specific to your ISNetworld account at ISN CONNECT. You are able to register in advance for functionality and usability labs on the ISNetworld Events page.

With over 30 breakout sessions presented by industry leaders, regulatory representatives and the ISN Team, attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about a variety of topics. Please visit our Agenda page to view all sessions available at the conference.

No, you do not need to schedule an appointment in advance. Help desk appointments are available throughout the duration of the conference.

No, you do not need to sign up or reserve a spot for breakout sessions. These are attended on a first come, first served basis.

At the Conference

With over 2,000 attendees from the oil and gas, mining, biotech/pharmaceutical, manufacturing and food/agriculture industries, attendees have the opportunity to share best practices, discuss industry trends and address questions with other Hiring Clients and/or contractor customers. We will also be providing light hors d’oeuvres on May 1st for an opportunity to network before the Lyle Lovett concert.

Surveys will be available on site at the conference. After the conference, a link to an electronic survey will be provided to all attendees. We hope you will take a few minutes to provide us with feedback about your overall conference experience.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of each breakout session. In the interest of time, the Q&A session will not be available at the end of each general session.

Yes, philanthropy activities with the Salvation Army will be available during the conference. Stop by the tables on the second floor of the Omni to help out.

There will be over 70 speakers, spanning industry and regulatory professionals, and musical guest, Lyle Lovett & His Large Band, will perform at the end of May 1st. Visit the Speakers page to learn more.

We will be providing theater-style seating in front of the stage along with standing areas and lounge style seating in the ballroom. Light hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, and a photobooth will be available.

Yes, all presentations approved by speakers will be made available after the conference.
