The 2022 ISN CONNECT® Conference was held on October 26 & 27 at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The conference opened with ISN's CEO, Joseph Eastin, welcoming nearly 1,500 attendees from around the globe.

Kicking off the conference, Mr. Eastin discussed how customer feedback has shaped ISN®’s roadmap and helped its continued growth of tools and service offerings for all customers. Mr. Eastin also announced the launch of Empower™, a free mobile app designed specifically for workers to access jobsite requirements, view compliance status, complete training on-the-go and manage work-readiness information. Visit the Empower website to learn more. Mr. Eastin also recognized attendees that have been ISNetworld® customers for more than 20 years as well as ISNetworld’s Certified Users.

During the General Session, Blu Hulsey, Senior Vice President of HSE and Government & Regulatory Affairs at Continental Resources, provided insights on the future of energy while Matt Miner, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at Walmart, spoke about viewing compliance through the lens of good business practices while using trust as a competitive advantage. Evan Van Hook, Chief Sustainability Officer at Honeywell, concluded by discussing sustainability and the importance of using our resources wisely so that future generations have the same opportunities that we do.

Following the opening session, Hiring Clients and contractor customers attended breakout sessions highlighting the functionality and service updates released for our customers as well as a sneak peek of enhancements planned for early 2023.

The afternoon comprised of more than 20 breakout sessions featuring industry leaders including Matthew Rusk from GRI, Lindsay Gibson from Blackstone, Joe Stough from SIFZero, Dr. Mitchell Thornton from SMU, Mike Jackson from the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure and Mandy Beaulieu and Tim Solon from NCCER as well as Hiring Clients, contractor customers and the ISN Team.

Key themes in the breakout sessions included preparing for the future and fundamentals of ESG, ways to use ISN technology in the field, cybersecurity, subcontractor management, best practices and trends and tracking employee-level data in ISNetworld. Speakers also shared their use of other ISNetworld tools such as ESG Assure™, Account Dashboards, Online Training and Permit to Work.

A Q&A with former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback, Troy Aikman, moderated by ISN President & COO, Brian Callahan, took place at the end of the day. A Networking reception, tours of the Dallas Cowboys Practice Facility, Ray Johnston Band, punt and pass contest and a visit from Rowdy, Dallas Cowboys mascot, concluded the first day of ISN CONNECT.

Two dynamic speakers kicked off the second day of the conference. Lorraine M. Martin, President & CEO of the National Safety Council, spoke on the continual importance of safety from the workplace to anyplace and Clint Bruce, Former NFL Football Player turned Navy Seal and Carry the Load Founder, shared insight into achieving greatness, success and motivation.

Following the General Session, attendees participated in industry breakout sessions that covered topics such as the lifecycle of contractor management, improving insurance compliance and effectively handling safety risk takers from a management and legal perspective. A panel discussion featured both ISNetworld Hiring Clients and contractor customers.

Throughout the conference, the ISN Team hosted Help Desks assisting over 120 customers with their ISNetworld accounts and provided functionality kiosk demonstrations over five different ISNetworld tools and services. More than 50 customers participated in ISNetworld usability sessions.

Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in ISN’s volunteer project, the “Care Kit Project” benefitting the Salvation Army. During the conference, attendees assembled hundreds of toiletry care kit bags for homeless men and women in the local Dallas-Fort Worth community.

While ISNetworld customers gathered in Frisco for ISN CONNECT, they also attended several meetings outside of the conference with their industry peers. Customers met for the Hiring Client and Contractor Customer Certified Users Program, where they received in depth hands-on training of ISNetworld functionality and tools. Additionally, 150 customers attended classes held by the OSHA Education Center.
